Storm Damage Repair in Crescent Springs
Hail, wind and falling limbs can open up a roof in minutes. We look over the whole roof, photograph what we find and tell you plainly what needs fixing. Once the repair is done, we come back to make sure it held.
What storm repair really means
Storm damage repair is fixing what wind, hail or debris did to your roof, gutters and siding. Some of it is easy to spot, like shingles lying in the yard. Some of it is not. A hail hit can crack the mat under the granules and stay quiet for a year before it starts to leak.
Strong spring and summer thunderstorms roll through Northern Kentucky every year, so we see both kinds often. We start with a free roof inspection, show you the photos and tell you if it is a repair or something bigger. If the roof is past fixing, we will say so and talk through roof replacement with you.
We are licensed and insured, and our storm repairs carry a 10-year labor warranty. When the work is done, we check back and tell you what to keep an eye on.
What we fix when a storm hits
- Torn and missing shingles
- We replace shingles that blew off, tore or creased at the nail line. Creased tabs look fine from the ground but no longer seal, so we check them by hand. New shingles get hand-sealed so the next wind does not lift them.
- Hail-bruised shingles and vents
- Hail leaves soft spots where granules are knocked loose. We mark each hit, check the metal vents and caps for dents, and replace what is damaged.
- Flashing and pipe boots
- Wind can peel flashing away from a chimney or wall and split the rubber boots around plumbing pipes. We refasten or replace them so water has no easy way in.
- Soft decking
- If water got in or a limb punched through, the plywood under the shingles may be soft. We replace bad sections before any new shingles go down.
- Temporary cover
- If your roof is open, we tarp it so no more water gets in while the repair is scheduled.
- Gutters and siding
- Storms dent gutters, pull hangers loose and crack vinyl panels. We can handle that work too. See our Gutters and Siding pages for more.
Signs the storm got to your roof
Grit in the gutters
Dark, sandy granules washing out of your downspouts or collecting in the gutters often come from hail knocking the coating off your shingles.
Dents on metal
Look at your gutters, vents and mailbox. If they are dented, the shingles took hits too.
Shingles in the yard
Even two or three pieces mean bare spots on the roof. Those spots can leak with the next rain.
New stains inside
A fresh brown ring on a ceiling or damp insulation in the attic after a storm points to a leak that needs tracing.
Limbs on the roof
Do not climb up to move them. A heavy limb can crack decking or rafters, and we would rather check it from the right angle with the right gear.
How a storm repair job goes
- 1
Free inspection with pictures
We go over every slope, look in the attic when there is access and photograph each problem we find. You see the damage before anyone talks price.
- 2
Help with the insurance side
We explain what an adjuster usually looks for and give you our photos. We can be there when the adjuster comes. We do not act as your adjuster, and the claim decisions stay between you and your insurer.
- 3
Written estimate
You get a line-by-line estimate of the repair. If something changes once shingles come off, we show you and talk before doing more.
- 4
Repair day
We cover plants and protect the driveway, make the repair and haul off the old material. A magnet sweep picks up stray nails before we leave.
- 5
Check back and care notes
Once the next heavy rain passes, we check in and look at the repair. You also get simple care notes, like keeping gutters clear and what to look for after a big wind.

What moves the price of storm repair
Every storm hits a roof differently, so we do not give a number until we have been up there. You get the estimate in writing before work starts. If insurance is involved, we show you how our numbers line up with the adjuster's scope. Ask about our current offer: Limited Time — $50 Off Your First Service Call.
- How much is damaged
- A few blown-off shingles is a small job. Hail spread across every slope is a much bigger one.
- Matching your shingles
- Older shingle colors and styles get discontinued. Finding a close match can take more time or a different product.
- What is under the shingles
- Soft or rotted decking has to come out before new shingles go on, and that adds material and labor.
- Pitch and access
- Steep roofs and tight spots near trees or other buildings need more safety gear and slower work.
- Gutters and siding
- If the storm hit more than the roof, those repairs add to the total. We list each one separately so you can see it.
Storm damage questions we hear
Something not covered here? (859) 251-3835
Should I call my insurance company before calling you?
You can call us first. A free inspection tells you what is damaged and whether it looks worth a claim. We give you the photos either way. Whether to file is your decision to make with your insurer.
Can you match my old shingles?
Most of the time we can get close. If your shingles are older, the exact color may no longer be made. We will show you samples on the roof so you can judge the match in daylight before we start.
How soon after a storm should my roof be looked at?
Sooner is better. Hail damage can hide for months, and small openings let water soak the decking a little more with every rain. Your policy may also set a time limit for reporting damage, so check it.
Will a few missing shingles really cause a leak?
They can. The underlayment beneath is not made to sit in the sun and rain for long. Once it breaks down, water reaches the decking. A small repair now costs less than fixing rot later.
What warranty comes with a storm repair?
Our work comes with a 10-year labor warranty. If something we installed fails because of how we did it, we come back and fix it.
Do you really come back once the job is done?
Yes. When the next good rain or storm has come through, we check in and look at the repair. If anything looks off, we deal with it. It also gives you a chance to ask questions once you have lived with the work.

Get your roof checked before the next rain
We will look over the whole roof, show you photos of what we find and tell you straight what it needs. The inspection is free.
